Our Story
Mardina Construction Company has been in business for over 45 years, and has completed hundreds of concrete projects throughout the Lower Mainland and South West British Columbia. With projects ranging from major public buildings such as recreation centres, schools and infrastructure, to private sector buildings including offices, warehouses, freezers and retail, we bring a wide assortment of skills and experience to any type of concrete job. We will work closely with the General Contractor, consulting team and clients alike to help make the concrete construction process efficient and effective, saving both money and time, and ensuring that our finished product meets your highest standards.
Mardina Construction started as a partnership between brothers Bill and Casey Klaassen on Oct 1st, 1977. It is currently owned by Casey and his wife Diane. The company was initially focused on residential construction, (with crews split between framing and concrete work) eventually growing to take on larger and more complex projects.
In 1993, Mardina Construction was hired as the forming contactor for the Justice Institute project under DGS Construction, the general contractor. The Justice Institute building was a defining project for the company and proved Mardina was capable of executing multi-million dollar contracts.
Since then we have expanded our range of concrete products to now include cast- in-place, tilt-up and more recently pre-cast concrete panels out of our Pre-Cast facility located in Hope.
With multiple generations of both management and on-site personnel in place, Mardina’s commitment to constructing the best concrete product possible remains our driving force.
From cast-in-place footings buried deep in the dirt, to cast-in- place concrete that defines a project visually to insulated concrete panels providing both the skin and bones of the building we treat every project as a chance to prove why concrete is still the best choice for your project.
